Covid News Today

Headlines this morning, Arizona man who died from anti-malaria drug actually died from taking a fish tank cleaner that some news outlets had identified as having the same active ingredient as the actual malaria drug. Some news outlets are making corrections to their original stories while, it seems, the Democrat governor of Nevada is banning the actual malaria drug for use against the covid virus.
The Dems in Congress managed to strike a deal in the night allowing a two trillion dollar stimulus package to pass. They had been accused of holding America hostage while they tried to stuff the bill with pork and with socialist candy like aspects of their "Green New Deal", abortion funding, etc. even after New York State's Democrat governor scolded them - scolded Democrats - on national TV for holding up the critically needed funding bill.

The news media are still trying to convince their audiences that President Trump is to blame for everything bad. It remains "racist" to say the virus came from China. China now is blaming new infections on foreigners, apparently even when those foreigners are Chinese citizens returning to China.

Cruise line stocks were a money-making proposition yesterday, not because cruise ships were vindicated but rather because the stimulus bill might pump money into the industry. Yesterday I came across an article that claimed that the Diamond Princess, the one stranded for awhile off the coast of Japan, eventually had over seven hundred confirmed cases. Wikipedia says over 800 with 10 deaths. A friend pointed out to me that it has been reported that the virus can remain on these ships for up to 17 days and there's even one ship that has a reputation for the noro virus. But the stocks were on the rise yesterday. I almost think that would be a bad investment. Yes people like going on cruises but what if the world eventually has to admit that cruise ships are a great place to get sick?

It's still nearly impossible to get tested for COVID-19 in my state, even for healthcare workers. You have to actually have the disease before they will allow you to be tested. And that's not old news, that's current.
