January 6 and P2OG

Many years ago I discovered and wrote about P2OG, back in the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld years.

I just Googled the term and came up with this (2002?) article archived in a uvm.edu site that explains the concept:

Reading through this article I came across the notion that the idea sounded like something the FBI used to do way back when. I wonder if they ever stopped doing it, though, considering all the likely true conspiracy theories about the FBI provoking what are now called domestic terrorists, otherwise known as Trump Republicans, into action and then sending the clueless FBI-provoked "terrorists" to prison.

They warned us that all that post-9/11 anti-terrorism legislation would come back somehow and bite us in the butt.
