That pretty well sums up the situation in the Senate right now.

January 28 Update

After months of headlines in the mainstream media trashing President Trump and boasting of the impeachment, the media has gone nearly silent. Why? Because for the first time since this whole charade began the President 's lawyers are being allowed to present their case. The media doesn't want their audience to hear the defense.

With one exception, the new John Bolton book.

Bolton, neoconservative, war monger, fired by President Trump and with a chip on his shoulder larger than the tallest redwood tree confirms what everybody defending Trump has said from the beginning, that President Trump wanted it confirmed that military money from the U. S. to the Ukraine wouldn't be wasted on corruption. The dirty Dems claim this proves their case and that's how the story is being spun by the media.

The story is a bit deceptive. What they actually voted against was the entire defense spending bill:

I haven't spent much time here in my journal writing about the impeachment of President Trump despite its enormous historical significance. I do think it's a total farce and an abuse of power by the Democrat majority in the U. S. House of Representatives but that's my opinion. I haven't been documenting my resources. I am hoping that now that the impeachment process has been handed over to the Republican majority in the Senate, the process will become more sane, although I do realize that the media and the Democrats in the Senate oppose sanity. But I did just watch this video on YouTube and it offered a glimmer of hope:

I see this as a glimpse of what is to come this year if Giuliani survives. It's worth it to watch this entire video.
