Who Can You Trust Anymore?

Last night I was about ready to turn off the computer and head off to bed when I noticed a YouTube link to a new Tucker Carlson interview that was being premiered which I suppose means it was prerecorded but being streamed for the first time - the way Television programs work. Anyway, I tuned in, ran it back to near the beginning, and started watching. It turned out to be nearly two and a half hours long and disturbing enough to keep me from sleeping well.

Tucker was interviewing a podcaster, Shawn Ryan.

Late in the interview Shawn talks about his experiences as a Navy Seal and then more recently as a contractor for the CIA and his involvement in South America "networking" for God knows whom, getting deeply involved with using cocaine and infiltrating the whole drug underground down there.

Shawn stated that he has a problem now believing that anything is real. He has come to consider himself a Christian in the new sense of the word, a seeker of truth.

Anyway his confessions became more and more disturbing and even now I wonder if maybe I should not have watched this interview. Tucker has been doing some disturbing interviews lately, but this takes the cake as far as I am concerned:

I've been wondering for awhile now how many of the looney European leaders have the same habit that the Ukraine president is rumored to have and that anyone noticing suspects that Obama and before him, G.W. Bush were rumored to have. I won't say what that habit is but maybe this will help:

I would like to suggest that if you are able to comfortably watch this video explaining why Microsoft is rendering versions Ten and below obsolete, then you should be perfectly comfortable if you see yourself as a nerd. It's a genuine skill.

Another perspective. This guy goes into an area I speculated on at the time, how the other two people in the helicopter, both males, would have been under pressure by virtue of the threat of court martial, not to criticize or attempt to alter the performance of this female officer and pilot - a factor leading directly to the deaths of all these people... a danger of DEI.

I do tend to think that this guy is being overgenerous to this woman but what can you do. He finds the most likely explanation "hard to believe".
