Massie Loses to Trump

It's official. Representative and truth teller Thomas Massie lost to a Trump-endorsed unknown soldier because he is not a supporter of the Israel First (America second) neo-Trump doctrine:

Tucker Carlson, another victim of Trump's foul mouth, has this to say:

Tucker’s Official Response to Thomas Massie’s Defeat and the Beginning of a New America

A week or so back, in an effort stick a thorn in the side of the Graham Platner campaign community organizers next door to my wife and me, I took the top portion of one of my Trump campaign signs - the sign originally said Donald Trump, Lower Prices, Kamala Harris, something else (I had long ago discarded the Kamala Harris part but this time I felt I needed to discard the "Lower Prices" promise as well) - and I attached it to the side of my house where anyone driving into the driveway next door could see it. Well this morning, in light of Platner's latest disgusting Reddit revelations, I felt having Trump's poster on my house after the Massie massacre might give Platner followers encouragement for continuing their own efforts to further their cause, so I took down my Trump sign. I can no longer say that Platner's disgusting past is worse than Trump's addiction to Zionism.

Grahm Platner - Unplugged

Maine candidate for US Senate sits down in New York City and explains who he is and how he came to be who he is. I must admit, he's clever:

The "New" Jacobin Democrats

Recently I have been hearing the term "Jacobin" in political discussions. That's a term that has been kicking around for at least the past two decades, but it seems to have new meaning now. So I searched YouTube and found this video where Victor Davis Hanson explains who these people are. Ironically, he uses Maine's new Democrat idol Graham Platner as the example. That's a new concept to me but Platner does fit the mold from what I have seen of him. The Jacobin shoe fits:

Rounding Up Nature

Chances are you had no clue - I certainly didn't - that the US Forest Service is doing this to America's forest lands:

The Secret Plan to Cover the World in Herbicide

To me, this is just one more way that President Trump has betrayed not only his base but the entire country.

Zelensky’s Press Secretary Reveals All: Cocaine, Cover-ups, and the Only Obstacle Preventing Peace

The Trump vs. Massie Feud

President Trump hates Republican Thomas Massie in a big way.

Why? Who is Thomas Massie? What does he stand for? Why is he such a threat to Trump?

The Massie Revolution - A Grassroots Documentary by People Who Love Thomas Massie

Massie is a Republican in Congress who exposes Trump's dark side. Trump has zero tolerance for criticism and reacts to it by being genuinely vile. That's Trump's weakness.

What Real Donald Trump?

Anybody who has followed my journal here should know that I have been a supporter of Donald Trump from way back in 2016 when he first ran for President. My support wasn't shaken when the Biden-era Department of Justice became politically weaponized against Trump after the Democrats rigged the 2020 election giving Biden the victory and putting Democrats in power. But last summer my faith in Trump was shattered by his reaction to his own allies who pushed for truth and transparency with respect to the "Epstein files". I thought the truth was what mattered to Trump until that controversy exploded.

Here's a good summary by satirist and comedian YouTuber JP of how I reacted and why:

MTG Spills Secrets about Trump (He Doesn't Want You to Hear This!)

The issue here is whether a politician's past, his or her moral background, should have an impact on whether "we the people" allow them to be our leaders. After hearing what Marjory Taylor Green said about how Trump handled her support for truth and transparency about the moral background of influential men, Trump in particular and his "friends", I stand with JP.

Yes, I respect the fact that Trump's background and who he has chummed around with shouldn't impact my judgment about Trump's positions concerning the nation's economy or its defense. I shouldn't let my own judgment and suspicion cause me to impede progress. I shouldn't use it as an excuse to sabotage the nation's future. I'm not inclined to think like a Democrat about this. I shouldn't use this as a political excuse to champion progressivism or socialism or Marxism the way the Democrats are doing.

But it sure did and still does shatter my faith in Trump's moral character. That's the bottom line.

That said, Maine's senior senator in the US Senate is up for reelection this year and her Democrat opponent will likely be a man whose past highly offensive moral character is being ignored by the Democrats and by many Republicans as well, the idea being that people change, that a person's past does not dictate and should not reflect on that person's current character. This Democrat is, in my mind at least, a gruff alpha male war-damaged mansplaining manspreading insult to the Democrat Party and to American politics in general who has personally stated his goal, should he win against Senator Collins, will be to throw a monkey wrench into everything related to Trump, his entire administration,  and the Republicans in general in Washing DC.

And the Democrats support this 100%. Forgive everything Platner has ever said or done that might be offensive but for God's sake don't forgive Donald Trump for anything you suspect or hatefully hope he once did or was.

Platner and his supporters have every right to be offended by Trump and his past, but nobody has the right to be offended by Platner's past. The hypocrisy is mind-shattering to me.

Fetterman, Platner, and Communism

In the past week or two I have come across this tidbit concerning what Pennsylvania's US Senator John Fetterman claims about Maine's Senate contender expected to be the opponent of Susan Collins, Maine's Republican US Senator this fall.

Go to the 1:30 point in the video and listen:

I am a Maine voter and yet this news interview of Fetterman is the only source I am aware of concerning this claim. What gives?

It wouldn't be fair to my audience if I failed to give this next link.

Graham Platner Speaks to PACKED Augusta Crowd

Maybe now I have a little more background of Platner and a more articulated presentation of his vision for Maine and for the world's future. Do I sense the unpleasant scent of socialism?
