If You Ain't Woke, You Are Under Arrest

A compelling talk about today's indictment of President Trump. Thinking about this I realized that it really isn't Donald Trump who they want to take to trial. 
What they are accusing Trump of isn't a serious crime. It is an invented crime to get Trump where the media can do a character assassination of him.

But for what reason do they find themselves compelled to do this. The answer might surprise you, but it's all of Trump's supporters that are on trial. It is they that the corrupt Democrat courts want stopped. They want to stop the Trump movement, so they do this so they can finally have the ammunition to impeach Trump when the Dems take over Congress again. Until this, they had no tail to pin on the donkey so two impeachments didn't win a conviction. This would be reason enough in the eyes of Democrats to take down Trump if we put him in power again.

And we who believe in who Trump is and trust him are all on trial in a kangaroo court in New York State. They want to destroy our trust in the enemy of the bureaucratic deep state.

But soon after, it became known that the shooter had been born a female but had transitioned to a male. Somehow the story continued that the shooter was female, not trans male. But a wave of confusion set in once that little secret had been revealed. How do you cover the story of a school shooting while not offending the transgender minority?

I have to say I disagree with Gaetz on this one. No state legislature can stop the US Attorney General and the President from calling concerned parents "terrorists". The US Congress can with enough support although as long as Democrats run the Senate and the White House, that'll never happen.

Democrats are abusing power and abusing the people throughout the country. From what I recall of 1984, that kind of government abuse combined with all the doublespeak and the gaslighting is Orwellian. Wasn't that what the book was all about?

The federal government has taken away parents' rights. No state can legislate them back in if federal law enforcement opposes it.

Yesterday my wife and I visited a fabrics store that we have often visited in the past. The parking lot was pockmarked with potholes - more than the usual amount for mud season in Maine. There were only a few cars in the lot despite it being mid-afternoon and we wondered if the store might even be closed. It looked dark through the front windows. But it wasn't closed.

As we entered the store my senses were accosted by what seemed like the leftover smell of a fire. I mentioned it to my wife and to two employees who were in the checkout section. Neither employee was aware of any smoky smell, yet throughout the store this strong smoky smell permeated the air. Mind you, this is a fabrics store. Smoke damage in a fabrics store should be serious business.

I spoke with several other employees, women, and one man who had that manager look to him. He commented that when you work in a place long enough you tend to not smell how the place smells. None of the ladies were aware of the smoky smell. However, massive areas of ceiling tiles had collapsed and in at least one area plastic hoses from above the ceiling tiles were draining water into plastic bins. Everything above the holes in the ceiling looked black to me. Clearly something recent had taken place but no employee was willing to talk about it.

Something about this experience reminded me of what has become of our society here in America. Even when the truth is obvious, nobody dares to speak it out loud. Everybody is afraid.

This morning I came up with a term to describe that phenomenon: woke rot

Woke refers to the fact that one and only one perspective is tolerated.

Rot refers to the way people need to lie to defend that perspective when it is obviously untrue.

Whether we admit it or not, woke rot has all of us living in fear of retaliation should we dare speak the truth.

So who are the enforcers of this rot?

Does anybody remember "too big to fail"? That came from 2008 when the government agreed to rescue the banking system. It was the top story as Republican George W. Bush handed over the White House to half-black Democrat Barack Obama. The Obama administration floated through its eight years on all this free money that was handed out to the wealthy bankers.

Then came "woke".

Then came now, another banking crisis.

How do those two things relate, you ask? And what is there about this that's funny, you may also ask?

Well, here's something to ponder. It would seem that in Maine it is perfectly legal to show school children virtually anything that might be sexually offensive or inappropriate as long as you work for a school. There's a bill currently being considered in the Maine legislature that if passed could alter that bizarre and insane policy, LD 123.

The gay (neo-queer) movement found a loophole in Maine law and is raising hell throughout the state now pushing gay porn in school libraries and as an educator you can virtue signal for social approval by doing exactly that. But some offended citizens are pushing back to protect Maine children from this new queer movement.

Word has it that Maine's disgustingly ugly female governor is indifferent about this, but you know, if someone were raping your own child and someone who could help stop it claimed to be "indifferent" and not stop the abuse, what would your opinion of that person be? Yeah, I thought so.

Have you heard the news? If you're an old-timer like me no doubt you remember back before the word "gay" became such a hit, there was the word "queer" that everyone used to refer to homosexuals. Then came LGBT when bisexual and transexual came along. Then more recently LGBTQ and all the other acronyms came along. Meanwhile way back in time, the word "queer" became so offensive to gay folks that the speech police basically banned it.

January 6 Revisited

I seem to be led by my conscience to insert a time stamp here in my journal concerning the political prosecution of the conservatives caught up in the January 6, 2021, demonstration in Washington DC protesting the dirty politics and voter fraud that resulted in the coup that overthrew Donald Trump as President and inserted 1984-style Big Brother Joe in his place.

For me, and for many others who refuse to allow mainstream media to program their thinking, anti-Trump Washington DC politicians and the mainstream media have been lying to the world about what took place that day and why it happened. The very notion that the 2020 election was rigged is referred to as "the big lie" whether or not it is true. If you fear and hate and loathe Donald Trump enough, anything these crooks do should be blindly accepted by you, the persecutors believe.

Just recently, actual video footage that has been suppressed by government and the media and even withheld as evidence in the trials of those being persecuted by the courts has been made available to Fox News by the newly Republican controlled House of Representatives and Big Brother Washington elites have been featured in the mainstream media as claiming that this up-till-now secret footage somehow lies to those who see it. Don't believe what the footage shows you, they say. Believe our narrative instead. Don't let Tucker Carlson or anybody else convince you that January 6 was anything but an armed insurrection against the very core of America's "democracy".

The Second Coming

I've been a Christian a few times in my life. Since I've never been anything other than that or a doubter or perhaps a junior amateur non secular theologian, unstudied, certainly not a Jew, nor a Hindu, nor a Buddhist, nor a Muslim, nor anything else, not a satanist for sure. If you're going to actually believe, it makes no sense at all not to believe in the one God, the one that seems to be common to not only Jews but Christians and even Muslims, the God of Abraham, same God you find in many indigenous populations, the one God and Creator. Go for gold, right?

That's as far as I care to go though, although it seems to me like the story of Jesus wants to share the God of Abraham with the people of the world. Christianity drops off the face of the earth with making Jesus the story of life after physical death. Call it deathophobia. Serious "believers" tell you that you get to go share in the kingdom of Heaven with God and Jesus after you die if only you believe. Wouldn't that be nice except what do you do with your life between now and the time you make that journey? Is there some way to spend that time with God and Jesus? Or is life a waiting game?

I suppose some people tell you that you join a religion and you believe. That's how you spend your lifetime. Whatever... Same difference.

I tend to think you seek the truth. Might as well. Call God "Truth" and seek truth. Why not? Why settle for the lies that pollute your personal space? Seek truth and to the best of your ability speak the truth. Live that way. Let the afterlife happen when it does. For now, live the truth.

But this discussion thus far is completely off topic because the topic is that I got to thinking this evening and a worthy question came to me:

If the second coming happens, the return of the Christ, would He join one of the existing religions?

If so, which one? Would He be a Jew the way He was last time or would He be a Christian, His namesake? Or would he be a Muslim warrior maybe or a Mormon with a harem? What would He choose to be? Or would he hit the Start button of a whole new religion maybe?

Recently I saw clickbait or maybe some video where it was discussed that Jesus wasn't actually a Jew. Can't say as I've got an answer there, but it must be known.

Tulsi at CPAC

Yesterday I watched the video on Tulsi Gabbard's YouTube channel where she spoke at CPAC this week. I have had issues with Tulsi, for sure, and have expressed it here and elsewhere. Since she ran for President in 2020 and gave up her seat in the House of Representatives, she has gradually transitioned herself from a Bernie Sanders socialist Democrat towards being a libertarian conservative.

Personally, I tend to blame her for Biden's victory over Trump in 2020. The margin was close enough so if Tulsi had endorsed Trump rather than endorsing Biden and the socialist Democrats, it could have swung the pendulum to a Trump victory. Instead, she painted Trump as virtually a Neo-Con war monger hungry for blood and plunder. Correct me if I'm wrong about that. She gave Trump no credit at all for his foreign policy. To this day I have seen no evidence from her that she regrets what she did. She had Trumpophobia as bad as any Democrat in politics that year and I have not seen her express regrets even though she seems to despise Biden and the war mongering Dems now.

I don't think I am alone in my perspective either. She talked the talk in her CPAC speech, but despite Tucker Carlson's recent support for her, she didn't earn all that much applause during her speech this week. I'm not the only person who knows her past and I don't suspect I'm the only one bothered by all her virtue signaling or her political positioning.

That being said, this was an impressive political speech and I agree 100% with everything she said and how she said it. She seems to speak truth naturally and eloquently. Worth your time to watch:

Snopes - True or False

Lately I have been browsing the headlines on Google News and they frequent feature links to Snopes, the trusted truth-judging website.

One thing I've noticed is that Snopes frequently proves conspiracy theories are false by mischaracterizing the claims. One of the recent ones is a supposed claim that five environmental scientists died recently in an airplane crash when they were flying to the site of the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio. Snopes found this claim to be false. False despite the fact that five environmental scientists who had in fact been involved in the East Palestine tragedy investigation had in fact died recently in an airplane crash during a flight to Ohio. Just not East Palestine, Ohio.

What do they call that? There's a name for that particular technique in a debate. It's considered a fallacy in logic, something I wouldn't expect Snopes - or any other liberal media outlet for that matter- to have a whole lot of respect for. What is that fallacy called... hmmm...

Anyway, I have a suggestion for Snopes.

There is a conspiracy theory that claims not only that the Covid-19 virus was engineered in a biological research lab but that it was deliberately released. Considering that it is becoming common knowledge that Covid-19 was indeed engineered in a biological research lab in Wuhan, China from where it was leaked into the public, Snopes can claim the whole theory false merely by denying that the release was deliberate.

Any wagers on how long it will take Snopes to come up with this one? I seriously doubt that Snopes will credit me with the tip, though.

I seem to be day tripping this afternoon. Just now I had this old Beatles song running through my head. Low and behold YouTube has a remastered version of it:

It has been said, and I am currently reading the book on this, that "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" but there were a few things that came along later on that were related to an event that took place the year I graduated from high school. I learned a few of life's lessons from this:

I can lay no claim to this event. I was no part of it other than knowing some of the songs made popular by some of these groups during my high school years. But going to music festivals, no. Doing LSD and smoking pot, nope. Not even drinking although I did spend that summer, the summer of '67, working on "the drive" for Scott Paper Company up on and around Moosehead Lake, Maine and, on one or two occasions, accompanied workmates to Saint George, Quebec for some weekend bar time. Back then guys could read about LSD and the great Harvard Professor Timothy Leary in Playboy Magazine, and I did, but being around drugs was just not part of my life experience back then. I joined the Air Force that year to avoid Vietnam and it was in the later part of that enlistment that I did come across drugs, mainly pot and LSD, and those drugs were around when I came back home after my time was up four years later, but that's different, I think... maybe... maybe not... Maybe that does relate to this somehow.

Anyway, I was just sitting around today on a Sunday afternoon recuperating from shoveling snow in my old age and up popped this YouTube video of the legendary 1967 music festival in Monterey, California, the festival that according to this film gave birth in America to Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and The Who. I did manage to see The Who at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield in the summer of '68 and yes indeed they did smash their guitars although I have no idea whether they themselves were smashed on LSD the way so many of the musicians appear to have been in Monterey in '67. I know I wasn't back then.

This video brings back some great memories but this far down the road I have to wonder how many of the problems we face now under the Biden White House and the "liberals" rose from the ashes of this moment in history. Did this festival open our eyes, or did it blind us? I have to wonder.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not one of those guys that advocate for sending folks to prison for pot or psychedelics. That's an even deeper form of insanity than the drug experience itself and doesn't solve anything. Just sayin'.
